damian leach

Bajan-born, award-winning chef Damian Leach’s passion for cooking was first ignited from as young as 13 years old.

Since achieving his Le Grand Diplôme from Le Cordon Bleu in Canada, he’s taken the island by culinary storm. Damian's admirable list of awards include the 2016 NIFCA Chef Of The Year, 2016 CHTA Chef Of The Year, 2016 BHTA Chef Of The Year, 2017 CHTA Seafood Of Year, 2018 BHTA Chef Of The Year 2019 BHTA Pastry Chef Of The Year, 2020 “The Gine On” People’s Choice Chef Of The Year, 2022 “The Gine On”, People’s Choice Chef Of The Year and the 2023 Season 3 Maggi Caribbean Food Court Champion.

Chef damian achieved the title of Barbados Chef of the Year in 2016.

Chef Damian was then selected to represent the island at the annual CHTA Taste of The Caribbean competition held in Miami, Florida. Here, he won Gold and the highly sought after CHTA Caribbean Chef of the Year title, making him one of only three Barbadian chefs to hold the prestigious title. He then finished off 2016 by winning NIFCA Chef of the Year and was the recipient of The Governor General’s Award of Excellence.
